Limit representations of generalized inverses and related methods (Q1294216)

Iterative processes for computing generalized inverses are given. In particular, an iterative process for implementing the general limit formula \(\lim_{\alpha \rightarrow 0}(\alpha I + R^*S)^{-1}R^*\) is proposed. It is pointed out that in certain cases, this process leads to a limit representation of the Drazin inverse, and the left and right inverses. A finite algorithm, to compute the generalized inverse, implied by the proposed formula is also given. The paper does not contain results of computational experiments based on the proposed methods.
