The authors note that Lemma 5 of their paper [Ann. Pure Appl. Logic 77, No. 1, 35-52 (1996; Zbl 0857.03032)] contains an error. They observe that the Axiom of Choice fails in all \(\kappa\)-hyperuniverses for uncountable \(\kappa\). Other adjustments to the earlier paper are given.
