Consider a family of abelian varieties \(\pi:{\mathcal A}\to {\mathcal B}\), over \(\mathbb{C}\), with \({\mathcal B}\) a smooth projective curve. The paper provides two different proofs showing that if \(\pi: {\mathcal A}\to {\mathcal B}\) is not isotrivial any effective relatively ample divisor on \({\mathcal A}\) is strictly nef.
