Let \(k\) be a \(\mathbb C\)-algebra and \(f\) a polynomial automorphism of the affine \(n\)-space \(k^n\) over \(k\). The author studies the degree of the inverse \(f^{-1}\) in various cases. He concentrates mainly on the cases \(n=1\) and \(n=2\).
