In this paper, which continues the authors' study of Fredholm symplectic structures [Bull. Sci. Math. 121, No. 4, 275-300 (1997; Zbl 0899.58019)], the authors treat Fredholm quadratic sections on a Hilbert manifold \(M\) and the singular pseudo-Riemannian structure on \(M\) defined by them. The germs of singular pseudo-Riemannian Hilbert structures are classified generically. They describe the properties of the ideal of smooth functions that vanish on the locus of degeneracy and construct the extensions of the gradient vector fields on this locus and on the ambient pseudo-Riemannian Hilbert manifold. The morphism of quadratic duality between vector fields and Pfaffian forms defines a singular symplectic structure on the tangent bundle, and the locus of degeneracy of this structure is stratified in Banach submanifolds. Its projection gives the locus of degeneracy of the singular pseudo-Riemannian structure on \(M\). The authors also consider some consequences concerning the associated singular connections and certain applications related to these structures.
