The author considers an arithmetic surface with an arithmetically nef hermitian line bundle. He extends to this case the classical results of the theory of algebraic surfaces: a criterion for the existence of fixed points for adjoint linear system, the Cayley-Bacharach criterion for the existence of an hermitian vector bundle of rank two with given arithmetic Chern classes and Reider's theorem on the fixed points.
