The author proves two theorems on closed oriented surface of genus \(g\geq 3\). The first theorem states that the second homology group with \(\mathbb Q\) coefficients of the level 2 mapping class group \(\cong\mathbb Q\), the second one states that the second homology group with \(\mathbb Q\) coefficients of the extended Torelli group is finitely generated.
