The author establishes oscillatory criteria for the solutions of the nonlinear hyperbolic equations with continuously distributed deviating arguments \[ {\partial^2\over\partial t^2} [u+\lambda(t) u(x, t-\tau)]= a(t)\Delta u- c(x, t,u)- \int^b_a q(x,t,\xi) u[x,g(t,\xi)] d\sigma(\xi) \] using averaging technique.
