This article discusses global existence of solutions to the Einstein-Boltzmann equations. The evolution of a collison gas is studied in a spatially homogeneous and isotropic spacetime, i.e.\ a spatially flat Friedmann-Robertson-Walker spacetime. The particles in the gas are assumed to have equal mass. Within this setting, the initial value problem is studied. It is shown that the main task is to prove existence to solutions for the Boltzmann equation. An existence proof for global in time mild solutions of the Einstein-Boltzmann system is presented.
