Padé-type approximants and errors of Padé approximants (Q1298558)

An estimate of non-local errors of Padé approximation, i.e. not only near the point of expansion in the power series of an approximated function is performed by means of the parallely computed Padé-type approximation, both the approximations being computed with quasi equal orders. In the absence of a general method of error estimation of Padé approximants, the proposed method appears as a satisfactory pratical tool as show numerical illustrations.
