Existence and nonlinear stability of strong stationary discrete travelling waves are shown for explicit and implicit relaxation schemes. For the explicit scheme it is required that the ratio of the time step and the relaxation rate is bounded for proving the stability. For the implicit scheme there is no such restriction.
