It is proved that the inequalities obtained by \textit{F. Qi} and \textit{S. Xu} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 211, No. 2, 616-620 (1997; last but one review)], can be deduced in a natural manner, by using the Stolarsky means [\textit{K. B. Stolarsky}, Math. Mag. 48, 87-92 (1975; Zbl 0302.26003)].
