    Dynamics of two point vortices in the bounded connected two-dimensional cylindrical region is classified by using the bifurcation analysis in phase space. It is shown that the interaction of the vortices depends on the sign of the product of their intensities. The author proves the existence of stationary configurations for negative values of the product. Additionally, the author establishes the impossibility of a dynamic collapse of vortices with finite energy at initial instant.
