From authors' summary: We present results focusing on the implications brought by the violation of the interlaminar shear traction continuity requirement on the nonlinear response of shear deformable laminated flat and curved panels subject to thermomechanical loading. A higher-order geometrically nonlinear laminated shell model fulfilling both the kinematical and shear traction interlaminar continuity requirements and incorporating the effects of transverse shear, tangential edge constraints, shell curvature, and membrane and thicknesswise temperature gradient, is covered by the results. The results are compared with the results obtained within a higher-order shell theory, in which the kinematic interlaminar continuity conditions are satisfied.
