The authors investigate free vibrations of tapered rectangular plates with arbitrary number of intermediate line supports in one or two directions. A new set of admissible functions is proposed, which are static solutions for a tapered beam with intermediate point supports, or static solutions for a strip from a plate structure in one or two directions.
