It is known that for the Hénon map or driven anharmonic oscillators the Lyapunov exponent is a discontinuous function of a control parameter. Here the authors present a one-dimensional map \(f_q: [0,1]\to [0,1]\), where \(q\) is a control parameter and show that the Lyapunov exponent is a smooth function of the control parameter \(q\).
