This paper determines the spectrum of the Dirac operator on the exceptional compact symmetric space \(G_2/SO(4)\) using Parthasarathy's formula and classical harmonic analysis. The necessary branching rules for the exceptional Lie group \(G_2\) and the subgroup \(SO(4)\) are given -- this shows how the restriction of an irreducible \(G_2\) representation decomposes into irreducible \(SO(4)\) representations.
