Two-dimensional subspaces of \(M_2(K)\) are classified up to congruence, \(K\) being any field of characteristic 2. This complements the authors' earlier solution of the problem over fields of characteristic \(\neq 2\) (see the preceding review Zbl 0929.16029). There is again a corresponding conclusion for the structure of a certain class of local rings.
