The Leontief input-output model is generalized in the sense that at least one industry produces output by using one of two or more alternate technologies. In this way the extended Leontief input-output model is formulated as a generalized linear complementarity problem. Necessary conditions under which the model has a solution are given. An application of the model to solve the problem of choosing new technologies is demonstrated.
