In the introduction the authors present a keen discussion about Babuška-Brezzi (BB) condition motivating their investigation. Thus, for the classical mixed formulation of the interior Stokes problem, they propose an approach based on a strong coercive bilinear form without using the discrete BB condition between the approximating subspaces. To this aim, they introduce a Dirichlet mapping from the pressure space into the velocity space in order to obtain an equivalent variational equation whose associated bilinear form is strong coercive. A finite element approximation for the Dirichlet mapping is also proposed. There are real substance and clarity in this paper.
