The authors investigate the relation between the singularities of an arbitrary function \(f(x)\) and its Radon transform \(R(f)\). A method for finding the singularities of \(f(x)\) given the singularities of \(R(f)\) is demonstrated. Moreover some numerical aspects of this problem are given. The obtained results are related to a special Legendre transform. Finally, the geometric properties of the singular locus of the Radon transform are studied.
