A novel method is presented to analyze the harmonic forced vibration of several main structures connected by sub-structures. Lagrange's equations are used to develop equations of motion in terms of impedances, mobilities, and modal forces. Then, a frequency window method is used to reduce the complexity of the problem. The window contains resonance terms which are analyzed in detail. The remaining terms outside the window are slowly varying with respect to the forcing frequency and are analyzed with less detail.
