Kurzer und übersichtlicher Beweis der Existenz einer Jordan-Basis für einen linearen Operator eines endlich-dimensionalen komplexen Vektorraums und für die Eindeutigkeit der Jordanschen Normalform bis auf Permutationen der Jordan-Blöcke. Vorbereitend wird ein entsprechender Satz für nilpotente Operatoren bewiesen.
