After a short review of our previous results on temperature effects on Davydov soliton dynamics, we give some comparisons between results obtained with Davydov's average Hamiltonian method within the \(| D_ 1\rangle\) ansatz state in one chain with quantum Monte Carlo results found in the literature. We find that Davydov's method leads to quantitatively incorrect results, but reproduces the qualitative trends correctly.
