A Fourier collocation scheme is proposed for solving the periodic problem of the nonlinear Klein-Gordon equation. A discrete energy conservation law is shown to be satisfied by the approximate solution. Several lemmas are listed. Some numerical results are presented. The stability and convergence are also analysed.
