The author makes an interesting study of a measure of approximation for the approximate solution of certain partial differential equations with coefficients in the field of operators \(Q(A)\) which is a quotient field of the ring \(A\) (the set of formal power series). An approximate solution of these equations is given and compared with the exact solution. Two propositions concerning the approximate solution and error estimation are proved. An example of a fourth order partial differential equations is given with the approximate and exact solutions so that the error can be estimated. This paper seems to be useful for other types of partial differential equations, too.
