Let \(A\) be an idempotent ring. Let \(A\)-mod be the category of all unital and torsionfree left \(A\)-modules. The author gives necessary and sufficient conditions on the ring \(A\) for the category \(A\)-mod to be equivalent to a category \(R\)-mod of modules over a ring with 1.
