The paper represents an important contribution to the dynamic behaviour of the satellite. For an elastic satellite (considered as a rigid body with an attached isotropic elastic element) in a Newtonian field, the authors establish sufficient conditions for the stability of relative equilibrium states. An extension of this work taking into consideration a computing procedure will be of the greatest interest for many researchers in the field of satellite dynamics.
