Based on the three-dimensional elasticity theory, an asymptotic theory of anisotropic and laminated plates has been developed. Through non- dimensionalization of the basic equations and expansion of the field variables in power of a small parameter \(\varepsilon\), the authors solve the governing equations by successive integration. Numerical comparison with results obtained by classical laminated plate theory shows a good convergence of the asymptotic theory to accurate results of elasticity.
