The steady wind currents in the ocean new the edge of an ice sheet simulated by a rigid cover are studied. Taking the Coriolis force into account leads to the formation of a spiral flow structure in the vertical direction. The boundary conditions on the surface have a discontinuity at the point corresponding to the edge of the ice; therefore the Wiener-Hopf method is used to construct an analytic solution of the problem.
