The properties of closed geodesics (in terms of their Poincaré maps) are investigated for generic hypersurfaces. It turns out that they are the same as for general Riemannian metrics. In other words, the restrictions, due to the fact that in the present context we only perturb within the class of metrics which correspond to an embedding as hypersurface, have no effect on these generic properties.
