We examine the stability of the equilibrium state of an anisotropic rock mass in the vicinity of two horizontal concurrently opened workings of circular cross section on the basis of the three-dimensional linearized theory. The rock mass is assumed to be a transversally isotropic body with a vertical axis of isotropy.
