Paracompactness revisited (Q1320327)

Here the authors aim to show the usefulness of their description of the (super-)completion of a uniform locale [Math. Proc. Camb. Philos. Soc. 108, No. 1, 63-78 (1990; Zbl 0733.54020)] by applying it to prove familiar related results, particularly the characterization of paracompact regular locales as those which admit a (super-)complete uniformity, and the reflectiveness of that subcategory of locales. They say, reasonably: ``It seems to us that this approach \dots leads to remarkably transparent new proofs \dots ''.
