    An Abelian group can be a Singer group of a symmetric \((n,\lambda)\)-net only if it satisfies certain exponent bounds: constructions are given to test the sharpness of such bounds. The case \(\lambda= 1\) is discussed also to study projective planes. Sound references are given.
