The author proposes a unified treatment for the integrable hierarchies of equations that describes isospectral and nonisospectral flows simultaneously. He applies his method to a coupled Korteweg de Vries integrable system of equations. The paper continues studies put forward earlier by V. A. Belinskij, V. E. Zakharov (1978), F. Calogero, A. Degasperis (1978), A. Yu. Orlov, E. I. Shul'man (1984), S. P. Butsev, V. E. Zakharov, A. V. Mikhajlov (1987), A. Yu. Orlov (1988) and others.
