The authors study a family of 2-dimensional nonlinear systems that have linear dymamics described by the transfer function in the forward path and a hysteresis nonlinearity in the feedback path. The authors give a complete analysis of the chaotic behavior of the system. Bifurcation properties of the system are determined and an invariant measure is obtained and investigated.
