Let \(C\) be the cyclic algebra over \(\mathbb R\) generated by \(e\) with the relation \(e^ n=-1\). The authors discuss the structure of \(C\) for different \(n\), they develop elementary functions within this algebra and construct at last solutions of the Laplace equation in \(n\) dimensions.
