This paper continues a previous one of the first two authors and \textit{Luo Chengzhong} [Fuzzy Sets Syst. 55, No. 1, 61-77 (1993; Zbl 0786.04005)]. Basing upon the idea of a fuzzy mapping, the fuzzy cardinality of a fuzzy set is defined. Suitable, but certainly not intuitive, definitions of sum, product and power of fuzzy cardinalities are given and classical results are established and re-found.
