Various generating sets of 3-transpositions for the smallest Fischer group \(Fi_{22}\) are discussed. It is shown for example that \(Fi_{22}\) can be generated by six 3-transpositions, and an explicit example is given, in the notation of Enright. Some ways of extending to the automorphism group are also mentioned.
