This paper is devoted to the study of limit cycles (periodic solutions) of a two-dimensional autonomous ordinary differential equation, defined by a polynomial function of degree three, depending on four parameters. With respect to previous publications, it corrects and improves their results by using a pure analytical way. Two diagrams of bifurcations, related to two theorems, constitute the main contribution.
