The paper concerns an aerodynamic problem of aeroplasticity. The basic idea is that the integral equation which describes pressure over the surface of the wing may be reduced to a differential equation. Using this approximation and the Kirchhoff-Love hypotheses, the author obtains some simple analytical results in studies of aeroelastic phenomena in an incompressible fluid. The applicability of such an approximation (an integral equation by a differential one) seems to be very problematic.
