We examine the nonsteady behavior of a reinforced shell during longitudinal impact with allowance for discrete arrangement of the stringers and rings. The equations of motion of the reinforced structure are derived within the framework of hypotheses of the Timoshenko type for shells and rods. The numerical procedure used to solve the problem is based on the finite-difference method, with discretization of variational equations and the use of an explicit second-order difference scheme for integration over time.
