The paper is concerned with the problems of defining a surface from a mesh of points. A method of continuity of a spline surface of first-order geometric continuity is presented. Surfaces of arbitrary topological type are created by approximating any triangular control mesh. An algorithm is available for additional local control over the shape of the surface. The results are illustrated by some examples.
