Variation of Lyapunov's method for dynamic systems on time scales (Q1336154)

The authors consider a dynamical system on a general time scale. This formulation unifies the standard treatment for continuous time and discrete time systems. Based on a well known comparison principle, the authors obtain a comparison theorem which makes use of Lyapunov functions. The theorem relates the asymptotic behavior of a given system and its perturbations. As an application, the authors obtain a stability result. A numerical example is discussed.
