The author constructs irreducible representations of the Hecke algebra \(H(W_n)\) of type \(D_n\) with respect to a non-zero element \(q\) of a finite field \(F\), excluding certain values of \(q\) analogous to those which were excluded by \textit{R. Dipper} and \textit{G. James} [J. Algebra 146, 454-481 (1992; Zbl 0808.20016)]. All the irreducible representations of \(H(W_n)\) are constructed in the case when \(n\) is odd.
