Group extensions and cohomology groups. II (Q1336476)

The purpose of this paper is to provide a generalization of the concept of a representation group of a finite group and to prove upper bounds for the kernels of the corresponding group extensions, thereby improving upon the main result in part I [ibid. 156, No. 1, 178-182 (1993; Zbl 0723.20030)]. The new method in the paper under review is based upon the fact that every finite group can be realized as the Galois group of some finite Galois extension of the field of rational functions in one variable over the complex number field.
