The author defines a new property of the operators on a set \(S\); he calls it operator-image exchange property. The mean result of the paper gives the connection of the dual operator-image exchange property with the classical exchange property of finite independent sets. The author shows that the operator-image exchange property is a strengthening of the dual of the exchange property for finite independent sets. The other parts of the paper contain some relations of this new property to the other ones and a brief review of dependence system theory.
