Invertible modules and generic subintegrality (Q1336798)

The authors continue their work on subintegrality [see Compos. Math. 85, No. 3, 249-279 (1993; Zbl 0782.13006)]. They prove for \(\mathbb{Q}\)-algebras \(A \subseteq B\) and \(b \in B\) that \(b\) is subintegral over \(A\) iff the \(A[T]\)-submodule \(I(b)\) (introduced by the authors in the paper cited above) is invertible. They study further conditions related to subintegrality and also the structure of certain universal algebras, universality being in terms of subintegrality.
