The numerical approximation of the integral \(\int^ b_ a f(x) \psi (x)dx\), where \(f\) is an unobjectionable function and \(\psi\) may be discontinuous, unbounded or oscillating with a high frequency, is investigated. Extrapolation methods (linear or nonlinear) that require explicit calculation of the error expansion are presented.
