The purpose is to study a nonsimilar free convection boundary layer flow over a vertical cone embedded in a stratified medium. Nonsimilarity is purely due to stratification of the medium. The coupled nonlinear partial differential equations governing the flow are first linearized using quasilinearization method and then solved numerically, using an implicit finite difference scheme. Numerical results are given for the velocity profile, temperature profile, skin friction parameter and heat transfer coefficient.
